Who we are
This website is run by Lawsons Partners. We decide how the personal information described here is used.
info@lawsonspartners.comWhat we collect
When you send the contact form: your name, your email address, the country you live in and what you would like help with.
When you visit the site: our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, to keep the site secure and working.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site keeps one small note in your browser for the length of your visit, so the opening animation does not replay. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and arrange a first conversation with an adviser. We do this because you asked us to, and so we can take the steps you request before any agreement.
- To keep the website secure and running, which is in our legitimate interest.
We handle personal information under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where they apply to you, the EU GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection.
Who else handles it
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives form submissions on our behalf.
- Microsoft provides our email, where your message is delivered.
- The adviser who takes up your enquiry, so they can contact you.
Our providers may process information outside the UK or the EEA. Where they do, the transfer is protected by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent recognised safeguard. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. If you go on to become a client, your adviser keeps what is needed for that relationship and for any records the law requires. Hosting logs are kept for the provider’s standard period.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy in a portable form. Write to us at the address above and we will reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
